Evidence, advertising and corrections.

This policy explains how Fix My Ping separates troubleshooting guidance from advertising and commercial relationships.

Editorial standard

Guides are written to help readers identify a likely cause and perform a controlled comparison. Official support and service-status sources are preferred for product-specific facts. Community reports can identify a question but do not establish a measured conclusion.

Performance numbers, ratings and winner labels require a visible supporting record. If that record is not available, the site publishes the method and marks results as pending.

Advertising

Fix My Ping may display Google AdSense advertising. Advertising is labelled as advertising and is not presented as navigation, a download button or an editorial recommendation. Advertisers do not review or approve editorial content.

Affiliate disclosure

The current hardware guide and relevant diagnosis follow-up cards contain Amazon affiliate category links, identified as commercial links. As an Amazon Associate, Fix My Ping earns from qualifying purchases. Links may use the US or Australian storefront according to the market selected in the interface. These are category searches, not independently tested product recommendations. A commission does not change the reader's price, constitute test evidence or determine a verdict.

How a guide earns its place

A published game guide must explain the game's relevant signals, give a repeatable action, state when that action is inappropriate, and link to official context. A new title with the same generic checklist is not enough. Draft game and regional pages are excluded from the published release until they add a distinct useful procedure.

Historical measurements retain their original collection date. A page update date means its guidance or presentation changed; it does not imply the underlying measurements were rerun. Our August 19, 2026 web-edge collection is one study shared across four guides, not four game benchmarks.
